Introduction to Sourdough Demonstration – Stickybeaks Cafe, Cambridge

A demo for beginners as well as experienced sourdough bakers who would like to expand their repertoire. Baking bread with a wild yeast/sourdough culture is perfect for those of us who have busy lives, you will see how to make all of the breads with less than 15 minutes hands-on time.
Baking with a sourdough/wild yeast culture is the way forward if you want your home made breads to be NATURAL, NUTRITIOUS, FLAVOURSOME and HEALTHY.
The demonstration will include a 5 Day New York Sourdough Loaf, a Rye and Hazelnut Loaf and fun Carrot, Kalonji & Sesame Seed Naans. You will learn how to store your culture successfully when you aren’t baking and then how to prepare it for action when you are ready to bake. You will also find out how easy it is to have dough in the fridge to bake fresh each day.
On the evening the sourdoughs will be served with some tasty dips and some Artisan British cheeses.
17 year old, Sourdough cultures will be available to buy, accompanied with activating and maintenance instructions.
