In this 5 hour introduction, hands-on workshop you will learn how to bake natural, nutritious, healthy and delicious sourdough breads. You will learn to make your own crusty, crackling 2 day sourdough loaf to take home, sesame cracker bread plus a ‘quick’ versatile simple Italian sourdough that can be transformed into sourdough baguettes, sourdough pizzas, calzones or grissini. You will learn how easy it is to store a culture when not baking and how to prepare it ready to make splendid breads.
Lunch will be a recipe from recently published ‘Sourdough Suppers – A Year in the Life of a Wild Yeast Culture’
You will leave with your own culture (from a 19 year old culture that originated in New York) As well as the breads you make you will have dough to take home that will keep in the fridge over the following 5 days ready at any time to bake.
